We welcome 2014...

Today, at this new year's eve, we bade farewell to 2013. We say good-bye to past experiences, good and bad memories, our failures and also our successes. As every year taught us something new, I wish from the bottom of my heart that each and every soul on this planet gets illuminated by the light of new idea and knowledge that we all would come across. We rise from our failures and take an enlightened step towards glowing success. We don't let our false ego and anger ruin the relations which still possess a blossoming hope. We make new friends, not ignoring the old, and keep our smiles alive at every moment of this upcoming year. We motivate our minds and also those around us. Each one of us gets an unbiased chance to reveal and unleash their talents. Even if it doesn't happen the way we expected, do not lose the confidence to win over your doubts and frustrations. Keep flowing like a river and the shore would kiss you on your endless way of struggle and prosperity. Live and let live. Forget and forgive. Mahatma Gandhi had once said that, "No one can hurt you except yourself." So don't let the self-conflicting pain make your life more complex and complicated.
At the end I would just like to confess that, as I complete this blog post of mine, it has also turned out to be a wake-up call for myself......

The dog wagging it's tail!

Most of you must be wondering that this article of mine must be descriptive regarding dogs. Well the answer is a bit intriguing because I wouldn't be adding more facts in the bucket of 'dog theory' but would be taking 'doggie' as an example for understanding human behaviour. It's not insane I can assure u that but a bit different. Being different is much more better than being a follower!(Twitters no offense!) Well it started like this: I was at the platform no.2 of the station, thinking when the ladies special train is going to arrive. In front of me just after the two tracks there is platform no.1 where there were two adorable white dogs. Adorable because I love dogs. One of them was continuously barking and was wagging it's tail. It was then sniffing the sweepers who were passing by and it's tail was still in continuous motion. My friend had once told me that you can make out whether the dog is happy or angry by looking at its tail. This gives you a blur picturization of the things running in a dog's mind. I connected this fact with the human mind. Humans are the most genius as well as the most dangerous. You seriously can't make out what going on in the other person's mind. Those who seem good to you generally turn out bad and who seem bad....well it's that vice-verse thing. But one thing is clear about dogs....they don't pretend!  I just wonder why can't humans be like that? It definitely makes your life less complicated. Speaking out one's feeling is much better than locking it inside and unlocking a  big argument or problem ahead. Wish we had an antenna kind of thing on your head...it would make the entire world alert and also war-free.

Mistakes...

As I stand below a tree,
time flies with my thoughts
I urge to be completely free,
from the mistakes fate caught.

I try to relax my mind,
but heart is restless
People are not that kind,
to feel I am not careless.

Just as I open a new page,
like crabs some pull me down
How to flee from this cage,
because I am wearing
nature's gown.

Still in this selfish crowd,
I want to create my name
My talent is not to be proud,
life is not a product of fame.

Time change, feelings change,
walk with your head held high
People never care about defeats,
as u bring success with a sigh.

The Auspicious Days

Generally when we come across the words 'auspicious days' the functions that click to our mind are birthdays, anniversaries, marriages and so on. Well it is a universal fact. Those are considered as auspicious days. But I like to take it in a different way. I regard my childhood days as auspicious days. Because the freedom and happiness that we feel in those days are far times better than those we feel in any other ceremony. Of course ceremonies like marriages are well-cherished ones. They are cherished and burned in our memories through photographs and videos. But childhood days are something even more special. The thing that makes them more special is that there was no word like 'worry' in our minds. We did what we felt like and roamed around like free birds. There was no analysis or reasoning. An ice-cream was like a lottery and a scolding was like a big trauma. We smiled, laughed and didn't mind whether someone liked us or not. Our games were our main priority and not our appearances or ambitions. Our mischievous acts used to make our house a home. As children we loved to spend most of the time with our family. Fathers were regarded as our heroes. We couldn't even imagine our lives without mothers. So depended we used to be on them and now also we are to some extent.
But as we grow up things change so drastically. We get more interested in our peers and less interested in our families. We get involved so much in competition and in proving one self. Some even forget to smile as they face hurtful circumstances. Tensions and worries keep on building up. If there was a time machine, all humans would have loved to live in their auspicious days forever. In childhood, playing with games was so much fun but it is no longer amusing when life itself becomes a game.

Life on wheels

The train life in Mumbai is completely maddening! I can't imagine any state or city in this world comprising of such a high working population whose presence definitely makes you go nuts! To some extent, train journey is fun and also a good experience in Mumbai because it drives away your laziness and also makes you smart enough to claim your seat at the right time. One learns to travel hanging outside the train compartment which provides a golden opportunity for few psychotics to show off their heroic skills. This is really dangerous and please do not try this. Besides, one who misses some spice in their lives can be recommended to travel in any train of Mumbai. So many arguments and fights! There's a saying that 100 years of Indian Railways have indeed brought people together! It's been 8 months since I began to travel in train and I feel proud. Well, it has been hectic for me but it has also welcomed a lot of exposure that makes me independent and street-smart. How much ever crowded it might be, it spurges in an individual a sense of curiosity and excitement. I am loving it!

Sister talk

My 5-seconds of excitement turned into misery when I came to know that my sister was going to settle in U.S after her marriage. Great! No monthly meetings and no late-night stories. I stormed into my room, my face feeling hot and started weeping on my bed, my tears creating beautiful designs on my pillow. I was very angry and even hurt. There would be no longer any excitement of going to Powai(the place where my sister lives) because I know I wouldn't be able to see her. I got so drowned in my sadness that I forgot to do my assignments. When it occurred in my mind, I was to some extent relieved as I would be able to divert my mind for some time. The next day my sister came for a visit and she told me all about her wedding's planning. I was listening to her very patiently and smiled generously, not trying to show her my frustration. But as usual, my mom shared everything with her and my cheeks turned red with embarrassment. On the contrary, my sister started laughing and this made me even more angry. She then gently kept her arm around my shoulder and took me to my bedroom. She made me stand in front of the mirror and smiled at my reflection.
"Do you remember that I always did your make-up during your birthdays?" she asked smilingly.
"Yes" I snapped.
"So who is going to help you in your make-up after I am gone?"
"Of course I am going to do it myself" I said in a shaky voice.
"Are you confident that you would be able to handle it all on your own?" she enquired with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes. I have learnt it from you."
"Exactly. Though I wouldn't be physically present, but mentally I would definitely be in your life. As time passes, things change. Those who are dear to you most often go away from you due to several reasons. At that moment, you should remember the best things you have learnt from that person along with the memories. Make-up thing was just an example."

After hearing this I felt as if my heart had lost thousand kilos. I felt free and contented from inside. I happily attended my sister's wedding and it was indeed a wonderful day. Because I knew that I haven't lost anything. Things are safely locked in the cerebrum of my brain.

Who is more important?

A 55-year old man was washing the utensils in his kitchen with a smile on his face. Today he was about to meet his 5-year old grand-son for the first time. He rinsed the plates, wiped them with a cloth and kept them one below another beside the basin. He then went into the bathroom for a quick bath. As he was getting ready, he imagined his grand-son's face in his mind. Eyes like Cedric, nose like Kerry and lips like me. He giggled and combed his hair. When he was about to place the comb on the table, there came a shattering noise from outside. He rushed into the main hall and saw that his beautiful vase that his friend had gifted him from India, lay on the floor, broken into pieces. His face turned red and his eyes quickly fell on the boy standing close to the table on which the vase was placed.
"You loathsome child! How many times should I tell you to not to wander near my house!"
He slapped the child so hard that his left ear started bleeding. The boy started wailing loudly and ran outside. The old man followed him.He hugged his mother who was taking out the luggage from the car. His mother was shocked and looked at the old man with distraught, whose eyes were brimming with tears. The little boy was none other but his grand-son whom he was going to meet for the first time.

Love to materials and harm to humans. Who is more important.....?

Great Expectations

I saw a full moon,
during a cold  night,
It's presence was itself
a boon,
In the shape of a divine
light.

It's beauty made me smile,
her memories I cherish,
Soon became a dumb friend,
I never wanted her to perish.

The stars circled her,
painting a beautiful scene,
Best companions we turned into,
Felt as lucky as a queen!

That night was a misery,
when only stars were seen,
Moon's absence was a mystery,
I sank in anger and grief.

I wanted my feelings to fly,
so it could reach the moon,
Swinging in trauma I ignored
the stars,
Who advised to not to expect high.

As suns rose and sank,
I learned something new,
Friendship is not in chains,
It's about trust in form of dew.

The Killer

She got killed that day,
when her dreams perished
in fire,
Tears burned in her eyes,
to escape was her only desire.

She got killed that day,
as her childhood was stolen,
Books flew in an endless bay,
her aspirations got buried away.

She got killed that day,
when her life turned meaningless,
Beatings and utmost shouting,
yet her fight was not worthless.

Drowned in the deep misery,
her heart almost skipped a beat,
'Why me?' she questions all,
her voice rising due to inner heat.

She never lost her hope to win,
it's just the mistake of cruel time,
Child-marriage is the biggest sin,
who can stop this endless crime?

Health is Wealth!

Success......a word that fills a heart with joy and destroys
darkness, an evil which brings bad times and sorrows. We all wish to be happy in our lives and the most important of all, each one of us desire to be successful and contended. We also know the key that would unlock the door, behind which success breathes. Hard-work. The word so simple to pronounce and so difficult to practice. But is hard-work the only key to success? Don't we always miss out something? Why do we hear incidences that a man so affluent has to visit a doctor every day? He possesses all the luxuries in life but why can't he enjoy a proper sound sleep? Is this because of stress and buried woes? Can be. But why does such anxieties arise in the mind on the first place? Is this because you have unhappy and arrogant people around you? Well there is a possibility! Or is this because you have work load on your shoulders?  Well, there are so many excuses and possibilities. But the matter on which we have to focus is that-'Do we really take care of ourselves?'
Majority of us do not. We are so engrossed in competition and in our busy lives that we don't remove time for our health. It's an old saying that,'Health is Wealth'.  If health is neglected, no matter how much ever successful you are, you wouldn't get the opportunity to be joyous. Stressful situations are faced by everybody. But if we don't know to tackle them or come out of it, our health will get affected. Tensions will keep on building up and you won't be able to enjoy a proper sound sleep. At the end, you will find yourself eating medicines and having treatments everyday. No wonder why today there is so much demand for psychologists.
Wealth can be measured in terms of dollars, rupees and so many currencies. But health itself is a wealth. It has no physical appearances but it's value is always sustainable, no matter how much a country faces recessions or inflations. Take care of your health and this would boost up your energy to work hard. Countries should not be called as economically developed. According to me, they should be known as healthily developed!

Friendship.....an unpredictable fate

Once upon a time in a small village lived two friends, a horse and a pig. Unlike other animals, they talked with each other.(That doesn't mean in the slightest that they live in Narnia!) They were the original inhabitants of a village where people wore turbans on their heads and trading was their official business. The village was situated in a valley, surrounded by huge hills, beyond that what laid ahead was understood by no one. Well, the horse belonged to a middle-aged man who was bald, hefty and tall. He was very kind to the horse. The pig as usual lived in a dirty place full of mud and other rubbish. The horse did not mind its unhygienic habits and neither did the pig thought that it was bad to be friendly with cleanliness beauties. On a very sunny day, the horse came to be acquainted with a horrid news that he was going to be sold by his master to gain money, as he faced financial crisis.
"Oh don't worry" the pig said to the horse,"you are going nowhere."
The horse stamped his hooves in anger and bellowed,"I am going piggy! There is no chance for me to escape! My life is going to take a terrible turn!"
The pig tried to console the horse but it was of no use. The following day, the man wearing a big turban, who was the consumer, arrived with a big smile on his face.
"So Arsheesh! Ready to sell your horse?"
Arsheesh himself was quite sad about the idea. He loved his horse a lot! Remember I told you how kind he was with his horse? But he had his family too, who were dying in hunger.
"Yes Sir. My dear horse is resting in its stables.Meanwhile, I will get you a glass of water."
The man wearing a big turban with a big smile on his face was about to enter in the stable when the pig blocked his path.
"Hey you!" He exclaimed in an irritated way,"shoo!"
But to his surprise, many other pigs like piggy, started surrounding him and started pulling his dhoti with their mouths.
"Aargh!"
He tried to get rid of them and escape, but he slipped and landed in the most dreadful place. The piggy's place! You can imagine his condition! The big smile on his face disappeared and big tears formed in his eyes when he saw nearby visitors laughing at him.
At the same moment, Arsheesh arrived and his jaw dropped.
"Oh God!How on earth you landed here?"
The man rolled his eyes and managed to come out of the place. Without uttering a word, he stormed away, not even looking back. Coins were spilling out of his pockets.
"Your coins Sir!" Arsheesh shouted.
"Keep those with you! I don't care! And also your stupid horse!" He answered with his back on Arsheesh.
Arsheesh was on cloud 9.  He told his family the good news and the kids jumped in triumph. At the same moment, pig and the horse were also celebrating their victory.
"You are my best friend!" the horse exclaimed in happiness.
"We are best friends!"
Arsheesh entered in the stable after some time and carried the pig in his arms.
"Maya!" he called out to his wife,"why don't we eat the pig in this joyful mood!"
The horse looked at his master in surprise but couldn't help his dear friend, as he was already taken away by his master, before he could do something.

The conversation

Love: The day the world forgets me, it will be the end! No one
will survive and are bound to face the disastrous
            consequences!

Jealousy: (A smirk on its face) One-third of the humans have
already lost faith in you. They are slowly joining my
army. I say, the progress is quite satisfactory!

Love:       True feelings always win. Humans urge for peace,
                 not war!

Jealousy:   Oh please! Where is peace nowadays? Is your
memory so weak that you have already forgotten
                  your history?(mockingly)

Love:         I have not. But I can surely say that history is
enlightening us to look towards a new era, the
                  era of peace,prosperity and love.

Jealousy:   Merely bat's droppings! Humans have become
disastrous and this credit goes to me! I have
boosted a new energy in them which would
make them the best and can wipe off anyone
                   who comes in their path.

Love:         That would lead to many wars and finally into
                   an abyss of darkness.

Jealousy:    Who cares? Drink the blood of a soul and earn
trillions! Here comes the prosperity, my mate.
                    (Looking with greedy eyes)

Love:          Prosperity is a sign of hard-work and not murder!
What's going to happen if people are not one step
ahead than others? Live in the essence of
                     capabilities and not greed!

Jealousy:      Love is blind and also innocent due to foolishness!
(Shooting a threatening look) If you don't rise,
others will crush you and go!

Love:          (Smiling pleasantly) We can also rise with an
optimistic attitude. Coupled with sincerity and
determination, it would make people successful!

Jealousy:     Merely bat's-

Love:         There's no need for shedding blood. Let's make
world a better place to live in.
