Who can control our mood?

Moods are influenced by so many factors. Climate, emotions as well as the surrounding around us can affect our moods. Well I know there would be many more. But these are the ones which I can guess of. I was never able to understand this concept and neither now. People say no one should have control over your mood except yourself. But I feel how much ever we try, it doesn't happen, isn't it? We care about what people think about us and feel about us. If the results are good, we become so much confident and are on cloud 9! But if the results are bad, our confidence dwindles and it comes back to square one. There is a Cold War then between your heart and brain.
Inner peace begins the moment when external things stop affecting your mind, which is directly connected to your mood. So easy to say but yet so difficult to practice. I have come through situations wherein I cry because of some xyz reason or person and then laugh out loudly. 'Chuck dude' I say to myself. I feel that this must be happening with many people. But a truth that cannot be ignored is that these experiences definitely makes us strong. Being strong doesn't mean you cannot cry. It means how fast you confront yourself after crying and complaining. The mood automatically becomes good and normal. The more we look deep into this matter, the more complex it becomes. But during that period of time, just loosen your mind. Give time it's time. That can maybe recreate our smiles!

Emotionally disconnected!

The world has grown completely techno-savvy and the gadgets have turned into heartbeats of our lives. Children by the age of 5 have started using iPads and tablets, while the teenagers and adults are obviously engrossed with smart phones! Now I understand why these phones are termed as smart phones. That's because they suck out the smartness which we humans possess! There are thousands of apps in it and all our work can be done in fraction of seconds! That definitely makes our brains job-less, in other words, we have become too lethargic to use them. Secondly, all these gadgets and apps are having a marvellous time in modifying our insights regarding relations. We know to like each other on Facebook but what about truly loving each other face to face? Wishes, concerns, sad and happy times have turned into 'happy bday!','Tc',':(' and ':D'! There is no doubt that I also find myself getting trapped into this 'techno-savvy vortex!' But somewhere or the other I feel that though there are thousands of social apps, are we seriously connected? By this I actually mean emotionally connected. The answer  is no. Ofcourse no! There is a lot of difference between wishing someone on whatsapp and personally going to that person's place and wishing him/ her! We all know this fact deep within us but what can we do? The time has changed and it would keep on changing. But we can definitely try to keep in touch with our loved ones by actually showing them our presence. Ofcourse we all our busy in our sweet lives but removing time for our loved ones and friends is not going to cause any harm to us, right? It would on the contrary make us merrier and joyous. A stress-buster in one way. The gadgets can't keep us happy, because feelings are possessed by living beings, not machines. Atleast, there is one thing that gadgets can't do! :)
