Generally when we come across the words 'auspicious days' the functions that click to our mind are birthdays, anniversaries, marriages and so on. Well it is a universal fact. Those are considered as auspicious days. But I like to take it in a different way. I regard my childhood days as auspicious days. Because the freedom and happiness that we feel in those days are far times better than those we feel in any other ceremony. Of course ceremonies like marriages are well-cherished ones. They are cherished and burned in our memories through photographs and videos. But childhood days are something even more special. The thing that makes them more special is that there was no word like 'worry' in our minds. We did what we felt like and roamed around like free birds. There was no analysis or reasoning. An ice-cream was like a lottery and a scolding was like a big trauma. We smiled, laughed and didn't mind whether someone liked us or not. Our games were our main priority and not our appearances or ambitions. Our mischievous acts used to make our house a home. As children we loved to spend most of the time with our family. Fathers were regarded as our heroes. We couldn't even imagine our lives without mothers. So depended we used to be on them and now also we are to some extent.
But as we grow up things change so drastically. We get more interested in our peers and less interested in our families. We get involved so much in competition and in proving one self. Some even forget to smile as they face hurtful circumstances. Tensions and worries keep on building up. If there was a time machine, all humans would have loved to live in their auspicious days forever. In childhood, playing with games was so much fun but it is no longer amusing when life itself becomes a game.
