ELECTRONIC MOTIONS
What are emotions? According to my concept, e-motions implies to electronic
motions. Emotions like happiness, sadness, ego, jealousy are similar to nerve
impulses which work in our body. These emotions should move in and move
out quickly, just as our nerve impulses do. If caught for a longer time by our
mind, it would least to unrest circumstances.
Let us understand this more deeply by considering a very simple example. In
our teenage life, it is the dream of every teen to become famous and attractive.
They love to seek everyone's attention, they want to be looked upon by all.
Well, there is nothing wrong in it. But if a teen starts taking his/her desires
very seriously, there are chances that the child can land up in an unnecessary
problem. For instance, there was a girl named Maya. A very sweet girl who has
powerful ambitions. She always wanted to be a part of extra-curriculum activities
which her school organizes but could never be a part because she was an introvert
and had lack of confidence. Gradually she started developing a feeling of jealousy
for her best friend Rehan because he was an all rounder and won most of the
competitions. The feeling of jealousy narrowed their friendship and as she caught
onto this feeling for a very long time, this feeling turned into hatred and she tried every
possible way to knock him down. People started forming bad opinions about her and
because of her this negative attitude, she started loosing her most beloved friends.
People didn't like to mingle with her. This made life very difficult for her and she started
hating herself, which is yet another dangerous thing. Such common things keep on
happening in our lives but we have the habit of neglecting them. With proper parental
guidance and support, children pluck the courage to overcome such feelings and it
becomes easier for them to develop an optimistic attitude. This not only applies to
growing children but even adults fall prey to such circumstances, if they are not
brought up in a well cultured surrounding. There is so much hatred in the world
today because people cling on to their feelings for a long period of time and don't
even try to come out of it. Those who fall in the well of depression are not able
to see the ray of hope from the tiniest hole on the 'walls of darkness' that has
surrounded them, they feel that this is the end. But we always overlook the fact
that nothing lasts forever, the dawn is born after a scary night and those who are
born are bound to die one day. So in whichever situation we are in right now whether
happy or sad is not going to be stuck with us for an entire lifetime. In the same way
we should learn to filter in and out our emotions in the same velocity just like our
nerve impulses have. Of course this can only happen with years of practice. It would help
to make your life more comfortable and you would always be blooming like a flower.
Even the flowers cannot be blossoming all the time. Even they dry up due to
unfavourable conditions. But they never give up. We have to live in a similar way,
excepting challenges and not letting our 'e-motions' put us down. Life will turn out
to be more wonderful for you.
Thank You!
